Great Grandma Came from the Old Country [Yugoslavia] to Ellis Island, NY in the 1920's. Known for her cooking, She came to America with the dream of opening her own restaurant. To support her family, she started off as a cook in a New York Diner. Her Roasted Pork and Beef Brisket recipes were an instant favorite amongst all who tried them. While she never got the chance to open up her own restaurant, she passed down her recipes to her children, and her children passed them down to their children.

Years later, her grandsons have carried on her legacy, using her secret recipe in Slow Poke’s Slow Roasted BBQ Sandwiches! Premium herbs and spices, along with lean unprocessed meats make for wonderful tasting subs, and we are proud to offer them to you!
